Deps was founded in 1996 by Kazumasa Okumura, one of Japan's best-known big-bass anglers, based in Kyoto near Lake Biwa. The brand produces softbaits and hardbaits for large predators. Known softbaits: the Sakamata Shad (3, 4.5, 5, 6, 7 and 8 inch) is a V-tail with a translucent tail. Hardbaits: the New Slide Swimmer 175 is a 175 mm glide swimbait.
